The NNHS and BERU Foundation partnered up on the 5th of June to celebrate World Environment Day (WED) at Meedhane Village, Kotagiri. The children of the village designed several environmental themed posters that were put up at the venue. The program started with the introduction of the chief guest Mr Lakshmi Narayanan (Headmaster Hillfort School) and the elders of the village, Mr.B.M. Raju, Mr. M.K.Halan and Mr.A.Billan. Mr B.M Raju shared a powerpoint presentation on the theme of WED’2013-Think, Eat, Save. The elders then spoke to the children on the impacts of our actions on the environment.
