We celebrated World Environment Day with the forest department, students, and community members of the Banagudi shola in the Sacred Groove of the village. We conducted a small trail and the Kurumba village head spoke about the temples’ rich cultural history and their links to the ancient forest.

We explained about the sacred groves and how they play a role in conserving endemic and rare species and conducted activities that encouraged young and old to start observing the environment more closely.
