Listening to the biosphere with the Good Earth School.

We welcome school students throughout the year to come and learn about the biosphere with us. This is an immersive and hands-on learning program that can be customized according to your objectives.

In September, 15 students and 2 staff members from the Good Earth School – Chennai, Visited Kotagiri to learn and get exposure through a 5-day program designed for them. The program involved understanding the landscape through geography, biology, culture, and history. There is in-class learning through debates, movies, and presentations specifically designed to promote participation, healthy discussions, and learning. Field-based learning experiences through camera trapping, nursery management, and restoration build skills and hands-on experience. We went on birding trails and walks through Shola forests to understand ecology through sensory learning, which involves learning through listening, feeling, watching and walking through the forest. Experiential learning builds social responsibility among young students to care for the environment.
