The Nilgiri Natural History Society (NNHS) welcomes any individual or institution (not restricted to the Nilgiris District) to contribute to the vision and objectives of the society by applying for membership. All applications are reviewed by the NNHS Executive Committee (EC) and approved by the office-bearers.
There are four main categories of membership which are as follows:-
1. Individual Longterm Member: Validity of 10 years, full voting rights, eligible to be on the EC, participate in AGM. Fees: INR 3000.
2. Institutional Longterm Member: Validity of 10 years, full voting rights (1 vote), eligible to be on the EC (1 seat), participate in AGM. Fees: INR 15000
3. Individual Longterm Subscriber: Valid for 10 years, participate in AGM. Fees: INR 2000
4. Institutional Longterm Subscriber: Valid for 10 years, participate in AGM. Fees: INR 10000
The annual membership, and student’s membership have been done away with, from lack of any takers.
All categories of members will get an electronic copy of the biannual newsletter (should you need a hard copy please write to contact@nnhs.in).
All members will get an invitation to events hosted by the society and a member’s discount for paid events.
To become a member/subscriber, find the form here. The form is a fillable PDF file. After completion of all entries, save the form, and email it to contact@nnhs.in or secretary@nnhs.in. In the event that the form is being posted, a signature is to be endorsed.
When sending the membership/subscription form, do also include the details of payment of corresponding fees. The fees can be transferred electronically (NEFT/RTGS/UPI) to:-
