Longwood Shola Nature trail

On he 25th of March we conducted a Nature trail in the Longwood Shola Reserve Forest. Along with proper permissions from the authorities, members of the NNHS and a few research fellows from Keystone Foundation walked with the Anti – poaching watchers inside the Forest. Here are some of the highlights of the day.

Longwood shola clean up drive

To celebrate the wildlife week in October, we organised a clean up drive in the Longwood shola reserve forest. NNHS members, volunteers and inhabitants of Ambedkar Nagar joined hands to clean up the Shola boundaries. Broken glass bottles, old clothes, shoes and lots of plastic among other items were removed from the forest.

Into the Sholur grasslands

On the 10th of September, 13 nature enthusiasts and NNHS members met up to trek through the Sholur landscape. We drove to the last motorable point from Dunsandle estate and started walking.
