The 3rd of August 2012 saw the launch of the book ‘Where the Kurinji blooms’ by Mr.Pratim Roy, Director of the Keystone Foundation, at the Bee Museum in Ooty.  Following which Mr. Varun Devaraj a local Naturalist, inaugurated the film ‘A fragile treasure’. The launch was held in the garden amidst blooming kurinji flowers.

The book is an effort by Keystone Foundation to provide teaching material in an attractive, insightful and interesting way to teachers and civil society. The film talks about the special heritage of the reserve and the issues that challenge its fragility. The module comes with a simple easy to read map of the region.

Followed by the launch the author Mr. Saneesh C.S. gave an interesting introduction to the book, after which the film was screened and this was followed up by a discussion.

Keystone Foundation looks forward to the distribution of the module and its wide use in schools and related institutions. The module is currently available for sale at the Green Shops, Ooty, Coonoor, Kotagiri and Mysore. If you would like a copy for yourself mail us at contact@nnhs.in
